Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic, multifaceted autoimmune inflammatory disease with a variety of presenting features and manifestations. Symptoms vary from person to person, and may come and go with mild, moderate, or severe manifestations. Diagnosis can be difficult and mimics many other diseases. This talk hopes to deliver insights on how to recognise and diagnose SLE early, to prevent irreversible organ damage.

Dr. Annie Law
Rheumatologist

Dr. Annie Law has devoted the last 12 years of her public practice to the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology at SGH. Dr. Annie Law obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MB BCh BAO) from the National University of Ireland (Galway) in 2006. She was awarded Membership of Royal College of Physicians, UK and Master of Medicine, Singapore in 2011 and received her specialist Rheumatology and Immunology accreditation in 2015.

Dr. Annie Law completed her fellowship at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, under the tutelage of Prof Eric Morand. Upon her return, she devoted her time and insights to treat complex lupus patients and intrinsically involved in and serves as the lead for the subspecialty SGH SLE clinics which focuses on complex lupus patients and considered to be one of its kind in Singapore.
