Singapore, 7 May 2018 - An exclusive Health Awareness Night on 6th April 2018 was organized for the Bangladeshi community in Singapore, at One Farrer Hotel Ballroom, with Mr. Md. Mustafizur Rahman, High Commissioner of People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Singapore and Mr. Mohd. Shahiduzzaman, President of Bangladesh Business Chamber, Singapore as our Guests of Honour.

Among those present for the event were key officials from Bangladesh High Commission, members of Bangladesh Business Chamber and members of Bangladesh Society. We are honoured to hold this significant event for our guests and their spouses as it further strengthens our ties with the Bangladeshi community in Singapore.

Medical Specialists from Farrer Park Medical Centre were also on hand to share insights on various health issues. The topics ranged from “Advances in Stroke Management” by Dr. Manish Taneja, “Exercise and Sudden Cardiac Arrest” by Dr. Bernard Kwok, “Liver Cancer Prevention, Detection and Cure” by Dr. Salleh Ibrahim to “Management of Neck & Back Pain and Complex Spinal Surgery” by Dr. Mohammad Mashfiqul Araffin Siddiqui.

Beyond raising awareness in the highlighted health issues, this learning exchange allows both our medical specialists and Bangladeshi counterparts to gain a holistic understanding of the diversity in practices and bond over this eventful session. Strongly encouraged by the attendance, we will continue to reach out with more Health Awareness activities that benefits the community.
