Safe Commuting

Even as restrictions ease in the post-circuit breaker period, there are still risks of community transmission. Consider the risks associated when you start your commute to work or school.

With more commuters expected, it could be challenging to keep the distance. If possible, try to travel during off peak hours where social distancing is easier to achieve.

If you are unwell and need to travel to see your doctor, please do so during off peak hours to minimize the risk of transmission.

While you commute, remember to mask on at all times and avoid touching your face. The handrails, buttons, grab poles and seats are contact areas with the highest risk of transmission. Carry with you a handy sanitizer so that you can disinfect when you alight. When you reach your destination, wash your hands with soap thoroughly following the 7-steps hand hygiene.
