Dr. Jay Lim Kheng Sit is a urologist at Surgi-TEN Specialists. He specializes in kidney conditions; including acute renal colic, horseshoe kidney, single kidney, and pregnancy- and stone-related ones. He is also trained in the full spectrum approach for addressing large and small renal stones, including endoscopic, laparoscopic, and ultrasound-based supine percutaneous techniques for large stones. He was a consultant endourologist at Singapore General Hospital and the director of the Urology Cancer Registry.
Dr. Lim obtained his Bachelor of Computing from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and completed his graduate medical degree at the University of Sydney. He completed his urology surgical training and was interested in stone-related research, prevention, and surgery. He underwent fellowship training at Macquarie University Hospital, Australia in robotic surgery.
He is the first doctor to be appointed principal medical investigator by AI Singapore (AISG) for his grant in natural language processing and has since been awarded multiple grants from AISG and the Ministry of Health. He is also the first doctor to hold two AISG grants. As principal investigator or co-investigator, he held 13 research grants from 2016 to 2022 and has published internationally. He was awarded a Singapore-MIT innovation fellowship and is involved in medical device innovation and holds a patent for his work.
Dr. Lim was Clinical Assistant Professor at NUS’ Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, a clinical instructor at Duke-NUS Medical School, and clinical teacher at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He is a recipient of a Singapore Health Quality Service Award and certificate of appreciation for setting up a community care facility during the Covid-19 pandemic at Singapore EXPO for 3,200 patients.
