Dr. Foo is an Orthopedic Surgeon at BJIOS Orthopaedics with a clinical focus in managing sports injuries.
Dr. Foo has a special interest in Sports and Hip Preservation Surgery, and was awarded the Ministry of Health’s Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship to undergo advanced training in Sports and Hip Preservation Surgery with Dr. Matthew Brick in New Zealand in 2020. Upon his return, he continued his practice with Woodlands Health working at both Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Singapore General Hospital.
His clinical focus is in managing sports injuries and helping athletes return to their sports. He is trained in arthroscopic (keyhole) and minimally invasive surgeries of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and foot & ankle.
Dr. Foo serves in the ISHA’s (The Hip Preservation Society) Regional Societies Sub-committee, promoting and developing hip preservation surgery in South East Asia. He is an active member of ISAKOS (International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine), ASSA (ASEAN Orthopaedic Association) and SOA (Singapore Orthopaedic Association). He regularly attends and presents at regional and international orthopaedic conferences and meetings.
Outside of work, he enjoys triathlons and is always looking for the next adventure.
