Dr. Suresh Babu is a highly experienced Senior Consultant Interventional Radiologist . He was previously Interventional Radiology (IR) Specialty Lead at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) where he set up and developed the IR specialty over 14 years, introducing diverse IR procedures such as tumor ablation, vertebroplasty, carotid artery stenting, arteriovenous malformation embolization, and trauma embolisation.
He is well versed in Neuro IR, Vascular IR, Nonvascular IR and Interventional Oncology.
He underwent Specialist Radiology training in Liverpool, UK, Fellowship training in Vancouver, Canada, and worked as a Consultant Interventional Radiologist in Birmingham, UK.
He is a highly respected academic and is the Editor of Clinical Radiology, a journal published by The Royal College of Surgeons, London, England, and is the author of Interventional Radiology in Palliative care (Published 2022).
As well as performing IR procedures, research, editing and publishing, Dr. Babu also enjoys teaching and is an Honorary senior clinical lecturer at NUS.
Dr. Babu's specialty interests include vascular and interventional radiology, pain relief in interventional radiology, interventional oncology, nonvascular interventional radiology and embolotherapy
