Dr. Vish Padmanabhan is Medical Director and Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist at SuperSight Eye and Lasik Centre. He has over 22 years of experience in Ophthalmology and is registered to practice in Singapore as well as in Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists.
Dr. Vish graduated as a doctor at the University of Melbourne and obtained his post-graduate qualification as an Ophthalmologist from Sydney (Australia) before joining the Singapore National Eye Centre. His past appointments include Consultant in Cataract and Comprehensive Ophthalmology at the Singapore National Eye Centre as well as visiting consultant at the National University Hospital (NUH).
Dr. Vish has over 26 years of experience with Cataract Surgery especially with the use of multifocal implants to avoid the need for glasses or contact lenses. He has been called upon to train other ophthalmologist both locally and internationally in advanced techniques of cataract surgery and has conducted many workshops in the USA, Asia- Pacific, India, China and other venues. He is a sought after speaker at International conferences for cataract, glaucoma and refractive surgery.
Dr. Vish is very interested in innovative techniques and his work on treatment of glaucoma and complex cataract surgery has been published in textbooks and international journals. His areas of practice involve the treatment of Cataract, Glaucoma, Refractive Surgery including Implantable Collamer Lens ( ICL ) surgery, treatment of Dry Eye and Ocular Surface conditions, Retinal disease such as Diabetic Retinopathy and Age Related Macular Degeneration.
Dr. Vish is a firm believer in a comprehensive approach to Ophthalmic practice and despite interests in particular fields, does not restrict his practice to any particular area of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Vish's specialty interests are diabetic eye disease treatment, dry eye disease, floaters management, glaucoma surgery and management, high myopia and astigmatism correction, ICL surgery, multi-focal cataract surgery and surgery of the complicated cataract.
