Dr. Chin Pak Lin is a regional expert in Hip and Knee replacement surgeries using computer-aided techniques and robotic-assisted surgery which includes joint preservation to major reconstruction.
Dr. Chin graduated from the National University of Singapore (1998). He obtained Master of Medicine (Orthopedic Surgery) and postgraduate membership (2003), and subsequently his fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery (2007) from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh).
Dr. Chin completed his orthopedic fellowship under the auspices of the Ministry of Health (Singapore)’s Health Training Scholarship at the Manchester Royal Infirmary, United Kingdom, in the field of Revision Joint Arthroplasty.
He was a Consultant with the Adult Reconstructive Service in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Singapore General Hospital where he had pioneered several key developments such as Computer-aided Orthopedic Surgery, Robotic Knee Surgery, Revision Hip and Knee Surgery. He was also catalytic in setting up the computerised post-op data entry system as well the Bone Bank.
While in private practice, he still volunteers his time at the Ang Mo Kio Community Hospital and Singapore International Foundation (SIF)’s specialist project in Cambodia.
He frequently shares his experience in the region through courses and medical exchange programs.
