Dr. Victor Kwok is a passionate medical doctor with over 16 years of clinical experience in psychological medicine. He has a special interest in mindfulness-based therapy and delivered resilience training programs for doctors and nurses during the pandemic.
He set up and led the psychiatry department in Sengkang General Hospital, Singapore and established its Mood and Anxiety Clinic to raise treatment standards. Prior to that, he was Director for Early Intervention in Anxiety and Depression at Singapore General Hospital. He authored various hospital guidelines and treatment protocols. He completed his clinical fellowship at Stanford Hospital (USA).
Dr. Kwok was awarded a teaching and role model award by National University of Singapore. He was adjunct assistant professors in both Lee Kong Chian Medical School and Duke-NUS Medical School. He is a compassionate doctor and has received numerous service excellence awards including the Singapore Health Quality Service Award, Gold and Star categories. He was the Medical Lead for Peer Support Network for doctors in SingHealth and a member of SingHealth’s Joy at Work Taskforce.
Dr. Kwok is a staunch advocate for patients and had participated in a national-level ministry workgroup which trains persons with psychological conditions to become healthcare workers. He believes in empowering clients, building resilient families, and actively gives talks to voluntary welfare organizations and corporations on mental resilience.
Dr. Kwok's specialty interest is depression, anxiety and insomnia.
