Dr. Emily Ho is a psychiatrist who graduated with her basic medical degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS). Given her interest in complexity of the human mind and her approachable and patient nature, she subsequently specialised in Psychiatry and obtained her Masters in Medicine (Psychiatry) (Singapore). She practises in Mind Care Clinic at Farrer Park Hospital, where she delivers care in a setting designed for comfort and privacy. She believes that every patient’s journey through the clinic and hospital should be a reassuring and satisfactory experience.
Dr. Emily Ho is trained in a wide range of psychiatric subspecialties and is experienced in treating a wide variety of conditions in youth, adults and the elderly. These include mood disorders, anxiety and stress-related disorders, medical psychiatry and women’s health.
Dr. Emily Ho’s main area of interest and specialty is in treating dementia and mood disorders in the elderly. She also believes in good planning for graceful ageing which includes doing up the Lasting Power of Attorney.
Dr. Emily Ho has years of experience in the National University Hospital (NUH) and the Institute of Mental Health(IMH). She was the Director of Clinical Services in NUH, and was active in improving the quality of care to the patients in her department. She has received several awards for her efforts in Quality Improvement Projects (QIP) and authored in books “Ageing in Singapore, the next 50 years” and “Mental Healthcare of the Elderly”.
Dr. Ho's specialty interest is treating dementia and mood disorders in the elderly.
