Dr. Hsieh Wen-Son (谢文荪医生 ) specialises in the treatment of various types of cancers and is active in developing novel cancer diagnostics and molecularly targeted anti-cancer treatments. With a research interest in molecularly targeted cancer therapies, immunotherapy and molecular diagnostics. He has led a number of international studies involving many centers in Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, the Philippines, and the United States to examine novel treatments and diagnostic tests for Nasopharyngeal and Hepatocellular carcinoma. He is also currently the Principal Investigator of more than ten active clinical trials investigating novel treatments for a variety of cancers with the aim to develop more effective cancer treatment with less side effects for the future. He has authored over 70 scientific articles, abstracts, and book chapters and has lectured extensively at regional and international medical and scientific conferences.
Dr. Hsieh is also a part-time Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University and a Principal Associate at the Cancer Sciences Institute of Singapore of the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Dr. Hsieh studied Philosophy and Psychology at Oxford University on a prestigious Rhodes Scholarship, Dr Hsieh also completed his medical training at Johns Hopkins University and Duke University. After his medical training, Dr. Hsieh became active in patient care, teaching and research as a full-time faculty member at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Medicine.
Dr. Hsieh's specialty interests are head, neck and lung cancers, hepatobiliary cancers and lymphoma.
