Prior to private practice, Dr. Ng was Consultant Nephrologist at North Shore Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. He joined CGH Department of Renal Medicine in 2012. During his tenure at CGH, Dr. Ng held several key positions including Director of the Peritoneal Dialysis Services and the renal lead for CGH’s Eastern Community Health Outreach program. He was also a member of the Morbidity and Mortality Committee, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Medical Information Committee and Serious Reportable Event Review Committee. Since 2017, Dr. Ng has served as an executive committee member of the Singapore Society of Nephrology.
Dr. Ng obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Auckland University in 2002. He completed his nephrology training in New Zealand and was admitted as a fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2010.
Apart from clinical work, Dr. Ng is also actively involved in the education of medical students and junior doctors. He was appointed as Senior Clinical Lecturer at National University of Singapore (NUS)’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and core faculty for the SingHealth Junior Residency Program. He also served as a clinical physician faculty member for the Senior Residency Program for Renal Medicine, Advanced Internal Medicine and PGY1 Residency programs.
Dr Ng's specialty interests are chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
