Dr Lee graduated from the NUS and went on to obtain his Master in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Liverpool. He then took on a fellowship in paediatric and spinal surgeries at Melbourne Children’s Hospital (Australia).
Dr. Lee is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with more than 20 years of experience in paediatric orthopaedic surgery and adult spine disorders. He is a visiting consultant to the National University Hospital, KK Women and Children’s Hospital and the Ministry of Health, Seychelles. He had also been a consultant to major hospitals in Singapore and overseas and was a lecturer with the Department of Orthopaedic surgery, National University of Singapore (NUS).
Apart from clinical work, Dr Lee had also held appointments as President to the ASEAN Orthopaedic Association (2010) and the Singapore Orthopaedic Association (2009). He formed the ASEAN Orthopaedic Outreach Program for training doctors in the ASEAN countries. He also volunteered in disaster outreach emergencies in the region during the 2005 Tsunami earthquake in Indonesia (2005) and earthquake in Solo Indonesia (2007).
Dr Lee had been conferred several awards such as the Norah Walk Prize for the M.Ch. Orthopedic examinations (1989) and the Young investigator award in the annual scientific meeting of the Singapore Orthopedic Association for both 1990 and 1991.
Dr. Lee's specialty interests include adult spine disorders and pediatric orthopedic surgery.
